CGLA Hosts Block Party

Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy (CGLA) invited the public to celebrate the opening of the 2019-2020 school year during a back-to-school block party held Friday, August 9.Sponsored by the CGLA faculty, the block party was an occasion to gather in anticipation of the upcoming school year. “This year our focus will be on strategies that promote engagement,” said Katherine Archambault, CGLA librarian. “The block party was relaxing, family-friendly, and informal. We hope families and friends enjoyed an evening of games, activities, and music."The event featured games such as giant Jenga and Cornhole, a special space designated for photos, and music presented by DJ Noble. A food truck was also be onsite offering a menu of items that guests can purchase.
