Idea Makers and Problem Solvers
We had several seventh and eighth grade students participate in the Mad, Bad, and Dangerous Girls Edition: 24 Hour Generator at GPS on March 15th and 16th. Teams were comprised of students from local public and private middle schools. During the event, the girls were presented with a problem experienced by a local business and, along with the help of a mentor, had the task of collaborating with their peers to solve this problem. Solar Eclipse as a Learning Day

Building Lifelong Readers: A McKay's Visit
During the last month of the 2016-17 school year, each student at Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy received a special gift—the gift of books.A private donor has provided each student $25 to spend on books at McKay’s Used Books, a haven for literary treasures, every quarter.
