CGLA Ranks as a Best High School in Tennessee
Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy (CGLA) is proud to announce its designation as a Best High School, an honor awarded by U.S. News World and Report. CGLA was ranked third in Hamilton County, third in Chattanooga high schools, and 27th in Tennessee. By earning #1,460 in National Rankings, CGLA has also placed in the top 5.4% of schools nationally. “This recognition highlights CGLA’s continued commitment to academic excellence, student achievement, and preparing students for success beyond high school,” said Sylvia Davis, principal of CGLA. “It is a reflection of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by our students and staff every day.” The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data on more than 27,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The U.S. News rankings evaluate high schools using a range of academic and college-readiness measures. CGLA’s strong performance places it among the leading schools in the state and underscores the school’s focus on providing students with rigorous academic opportunities and the support they need to thrive. CGLA also boasts a 100% graduation rate and a 100% Advanced Placement participation rate. “This achievement belongs to our entire school community,” said Dr. Elaine Swafford, CEO of CGLA. “Our students continue to set high expectations for themselves, and our educators work tirelessly to help them reach those goals.”
